The group meets twice yearly to share advice on calibration techniques, measurement uncertainty calculations and measurement best practices. It investigates specific measurement problems and solutions and will organise measurement Round Robin instrumentation if required.
The group discusses all aspects of Test Cell infrastructure and controls that lead to reliable and quality data output. Due to ever changing Testing requirements, at times methods of improving Safety and Facility protection are discussed. The group also covers Measurement systems used within Vehicle/Machine testing.
Recent subjects under discussion have included ISO17025 compliance, Calibration/Asset Databases, Test cell Measurement and Automation, Safety compliance and Fire protection. Regularly the group will discuss issues and methods of measuring Speed, Torque, Flow, Pressure, Temperature and Fuel consumption.
